How To Make a Private Story On Snapchat
There are two methods to make a private Story on Snapchat. Before that, you need to check whether your Snapchat app is updated to the latest version.
The below Methods work for both Android and iPhone.
Method 1: Private Story from Camera Screen
Launch Snapchat application on your device and log in to your account (if you have not).
On the Camera Screen, tap the round button at the bottom and take a snap or record a video. Or you can select the Upload button to post an old picture or video.
As your picture or video gets ready, tap the “Send To” option at the bottom.
Tap the New Story option at the top.
Tap the “New Private Option” from the menu that appears.
Now, Select your Snapchat friends you want to add to your private story list. As you tap to Select them, a blue tick will appear on their profile.
Once you finish selecting your friends, tap the checkmark to finalize posting the private story.
A padlock icon will appear that symbolizes your story is private and distinguishes it from the other stories.
Method 2: Post from Your Profile
Making a private story from the camera tab may not work well for you. In such a case, you can make the story from your profile page on Snapchat.
Follow the steps below to make a private story from your profile:
On Snapchat, navigate to your profile by tapping the profile/Bitmoji icon.
Tap the “New Story” option.
Select the “Private Story” option. Now browse your contacts and select the people who can view your private story.
Tap the checkmark icon at the bottom.
Tap the Name option of the Story and enter any of your choices.
Once you are done making all necessary changes, tap the create story option at the bottom to post your private story.
That’s it. You can now easily create your Snapchat private story and select your friends to view them.
How To Edit Who Can View Your Private Story On Snapchat
Snapchat lets you edit your private Snapchat story viewers. You can add or remove people from the list whenever you want. Here’s how to do it:
Open Snapchat and head to your profile by tapping the profile icon.
Below My Stories section, tap the three-dots icon on the right.
Tap the “Edit Viewers” option from the menu that appears.
To add someone, you need to select the button next to their name on the right. Similarly, tap the button to remove the person from your viewers’ list.
How To Remove a Private Story On Snapchat
Follow the steps below to remove your private story:
On your Snapchat profile, tap the three-dots icon on the right under the “My Stories” section.
Select “Delete Story” option from the menu.
