How To Fix No Lock Profile Option On Facebook
You can make several changes to your Facebook settings to control users’ visits to your profile. Doing so helps you stay protected similar to the lock profile option. One of the best things you can do is limit your views on posts. However, unlike the users who have enabled the lock profile option, you will not get the lock symbol on your profile.
Follow the guide below to put limitations on your views on Facebook posts:
Step 1: Launch the Facebook application and enter you details to log in to your account.
Step 2: Tap the three-bar menu icon on the right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Choose ‘Setting and Privacy’ option from the menu. Then you need to tap again on the “settings” and select “privacy settings.”
Step 4: You will now be taken to your activity page. Scroll down and find the option that says “Who Can See Your Future Posts”.
Step 5: Tap “Try it Now” option and now select only friends who can view.
Step 6: Once you are done making changes here, go back to the activity page and select the second option that says “Limit Who Can See Your Posts”.
Step 7: Select ‘Past Limit Posts’ and then tap again limit past posts to confirm it.
Step 8: Go to your Page General Settings and tap “Public Posts” option appearing above the blocking section. Now change your public posts settings to only “Friends.”
If you are not satisfied with limiting your post views and want the exact lock profile feature on your Facebook profile, the only thing you can do is wait until the feature gets launched globally for everyone. As of now, the lock profile feature is available for a few selected countries only. This could mean the feature is in its testing phase and going to take some more time.
For the moment, you can use the privacy feature to protect your account. You can remove unknown and suspicious people from your Friends list and accept requests from the ones you know and can trust only.
