Most apps are run by storing cache on your device to function smoothly and provide a great user experience. The same case is with Facebook.
A cache is stored to increase the speed of the apps and improve their performance. When you use the Facebook app, it automatically stores some temporary data on your device. And on your next visit, the app will fetch the stored data and load faster.
However, as the cache increases over the time you use, it affects the device’s functionality and also consumes more storage. In this case, the only choice you have is to clear your Facebook cache.
Sometimes, the app takes a long time to respond properly and function well. Clearing out your cached data may solve this problem.
So, let’s see how you can Clear the Facebook cache from your device.
How to Clear Facebook Cache
The Setting option may be different depending upon what device you use. But the process would be the same.

The only way to Clear the Facebook cache on your iPhone is to remove/delete the app from your device.
- Launch the Settings App on your iPhone.
- Select General, and then tap iPhone Storage.
- Search for Facebook and tap to Delete the App.
OR, you can delete the app directly from your home screen. Just tap and hold the Facebook app. Choose to remove the app, then tap Delete App.
Once you have finished deleting the app, reinstall it from the App Store and log in to your account. Doing this will remove the Facebook app’s cached data on your iPhone.
