How to Change Instagram to Light Mode on iPhone

If you’re using an iPhone, you cannot turn on or off dark mode inside the Instagram app.

You need to make changes to your iPhone’s settings. Here’s how you can do it.

Step 1: On your iPhone, open the Settings app, then select Display & Brightness

Step 2: Below the APPEARANCE section at the top, select Light to switch to light mode. 

Now, launch the Instagram app, and you will notice that the app is appearing in light mode. 

Note that the above method will only work if you’re using an operating system of iOS 13 or above. Also, ensure that your Instagram app is up-to-date and you’re using the latest version before applying this method. You might be able to notice that enabling or disabling Dark Mode on your iOS device will be applied the same to your other apps as well. 

How to Change Instagram to Light Mode on Android

Method 1: Using the Instagram App

Step 1: Launch the Instagram app and go to your profile page by tapping your profile picture. 

Step 2: Tap the hamburger menu or three-bar menu icon in the top-right corner, then select Settings. 

Step 3: Select Theme

Step 4: Tap the Light option to turn on light mode on your Instagram app.

Method 2: Using Your Device Settings

Step 1: Open the Settings app on your Android Device.

Step 2: Visit Display & Brightness.

Step 3: Select Light mode.

Alternatively, you can swipe down from the top-right of your device and switch off the dark mode. 

The above method will only work if your operating system is above or Android 10.
