This method works for both Android & iPhone devices.
To start, launch the Instagram app on your phone and go to your profile by tapping the profile icon on the bottom right corner.
Then, you will need to tap the three-lines menu icon on the top-right corner and then select the Settings button.
Now, you have reached the general settings of your Instagram account. Here, you’ll need to find the Privacy option usually located in the middle of your screen.
Once you go to Privacy, a list of several different options will appear to you where you can manage your account’s visibility and more. But we are here looking for the Activity Status that will help you to appear offline on Instagram.
Now, you will see a small message that if you turn it off, no one will be able to see your activity, and you will not see anyone else’s. If you still want to proceed, tap the toggle icon next to Show Activity Status.
